"Gachagua Is Ready To Work With Ruto But He's Afraid Of Ichungwah & His Team" Political Analyst

High Court Advocate Joshua Nyamori has shared his view on the yesterday's meeting between President William Ruto and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Nyamori said that Gachagua was “cool, calm, and collected,” which is very different from the bitter and angry image he usually shows. 

“This is not the Gachagua we know full of bitterness, threats, and vitriol, claiming to be so powerful,” he said. He added that Gachagua finally accepted that Ruto is the president and said he actually wants to work with him. 

However, Nyamori pointed out that Gachagua’s main worry is the younger politicians from the Mt. Kenya region. 

“His only problem is the young people from Mt. Kenya, whom he wants the president to push aside, including the younger politicians working with him,” he explained.

The two leaders met yesterday during a funeral service in Nyandarua County. People watching the meeting noticed that Gachagua seemed calm and polite, a big change from his usual public attacks on Ruto. 

While he showed he can work with the president, he still has issues with younger leaders.

Experts say this shows a bigger struggle within the ruling party, especially in the Mt. Kenya region. Gachagua wants to keep older leaders in control, while younger politicians are gaining influence.

Kenyans are watching closely. Some think Gachagua’s calmer approach is a good sign, while others worry that disagreements with Ruto and younger leaders could still cause trouble.

The Nyandarua funeral meeting shows that there is some willingness to cooperate, but the fight between older and younger politicians in the region is far from over.
