Osoro captured it simply Onyonka has always been the kind of man who doesn't shut people out. Even those who have gone against him politically. That, he said, is what brought the crowd.
The senator lost his mother, Mama Teresia Nyaboke Omoke, on April 29. Eighty-one years old. She passed at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, and Onyonka broke the news himself on Facebook in the way a son does when the words don't come easily.
He described her as devoted, grounded in faith, and quietly strong. A woman who gave more than she ever asked for.
"Her passing is a profound loss not only to our family but to all those whose lives she touched," he said.
